It wasn’t just Elizabeth Taylor’s extensive collection of diamonds that sparkled. With her long natural eyelashes and raven hair, she was famously radiant herself. She is said to have based her entire look, including hair and make-up, around the jewellery she wore, a habit that inspired an array of classic beauty looks. She loved lipstick – Elizabeth Arden being her favourite – colourful eyeshadow and bold brows, and while she worked with Italian make-up artist, Tolot, she actually enjoyed doing her own make-up. According to her one-time personal assistant, Tim Mendelson, filling in her brows and taking time to massage moisturiser into her skin were her favourite parts of her routine.
