    Richard Fleeshman starred on the West End and Broadway opposite Caissie Levy in Ghost the Musical and was part of the British ensembles of Urinetown and The Last Ship. But it’s fair to say that he has never had quite the opportunity offered by the knockout, gender-flipped revival of Company, playing the barely-clothed air steward Andy—a character previously known as April. The winning and funny performance has brought Fleeshman an Olivier nomination: one of nine received by the Gielgud Theatre production as a whole, as the charming Englishman, keen to share the praise, was quick to point out.     Here's a quick roundup of stories you might have missed today. John Doyle Announces Creative Team for August Rush Musical Tony-winning director John Doyle has compiled a talented team of creatives to join him on the new musical August Rush. The new tuner has shifted its previously announced debut at Virginia's Signature Theatre to a world premiere at the Paramount Theatre in Chicago set to run from April 24 through June 2. Joining Doyle will be choreographer JoAnn M. Hunter and music director Greg Jarrett, with scenic designer Scott Pask, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designer Paul Toben, sound designer Dan Moses Schreier and projection designer Joe Burke. August Rush features a book by Glen Berger along with music and lyrics by Mark Mancina, who scored film on which the tuner is based. Casting will be announced soon.     Mark your calendar! Netflix has announced a September 27 debut date for The Politician. Ryan Murphy's previously announced series is headlined by Tony winner Ben Platt alongside a slew of stage-and-screen stars. The Politician follows Payton Hobart (Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, who has known since age seven that he's going to be President of the United States. But first he'll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image.     New York stage alum Brenda Pressley will now star in the upcoming off-Broadway staging of Chisa Hutchinson's new solo play Proof of Love. Jade King Carroll directs the production—which will be recorded for Audible—scheduled to begin previews on May 7 and open on May 14 at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Pressley replaces the previously announced Suzzanne Douglas, who has withdrawn from the production for personal reasons. Pressley can currently be seen off-Broadway in Hutchinson's New York premiere Surely Goodness and Mercy. The actress has accrued numerous stage credits, including Broadway turns in The Lyons, The American Plan, Cats, Dreamgirls and The Moony Shapiro Songbook. Pressley earned an AUDELCO Award nomination for her turn in Seven Guitars. In Proof of Love, Constance (Pressley) thought she had a happy life and a loving husband.     On the heels of a celebrated London premiere, Anaïs Mitchell's new musical Hadestown debuts at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre on March 22. Co-conceiver Rachel Chavkin (The Great Comet) directs the production, choreographed by David Neumann and music-directed by Liam Robinson, set to officially open on April 17. Reeve Carney, Patrick Page and Eva Noblezada star. Hadestown is a musical retelling of the mythical quest of Orpheus (Carney) to overcome Hades (Page) and regain the favor of his one true love, Eurydice (Noblezada). According to Page Six, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas revealed that she and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of the R&B/hip-hop girl group TLC want to give their story the Broadway treatment. “We’re working on the TLC musical and TLC on Broadway,” Thomas said. “We’re going to create new music for those projects as well.” "Chilli" Thomas, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes rose to prominence when they formed in Atlanta, Georgia in the 1990s as music girl group TLC. Their chart-topping hits include "Waterfalls," "Unpretty," "Creep," "No Scrubs," "Baby-Baby-Baby" and more. The group has five Grammy Awards, including one for Best R&B album for CrazySexyCool in 1996 and Best R&B album for FanMail in 2000. Though original member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes passed away in 2002, TLC has continued to tour and make music. Their fifth studio album TLC was released on June 30, 2017.     Four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots, Torch Song) will take on the role of a lifetime this fall, starring as attorney and politician Bella Abzug in his new solo play Bella Bella. Manhattan Theatre Club has also newly announced world premiere plays by Tony winner Richard Greenberg and Emily Feldman as part of its 2019-2020 season.
