Broadway general management and executive producing firm Foresight Theatrical has revealed a shift in leadership. The firm has named two new partners, longtime general managers Nick Ginsberg and Jalaina Ross, who will join the longstanding partners Aaron Lustbader and Mark Shacket. Allan Williams, who has been with the firm for decades, will step down as partner and will take on a dual executive producer and consultant role.
“This is a tremendously exciting moment for our company as we look towards the future,” Lustbader said in a statement. “Nick and Jalaina both bring fresh new perspectives, humanity and passion to their work and we are thrilled to welcome both of them as partners.”
“Their leadership and commitment to the company have been invaluable, and this step ensures our continued success for years to come,” added Shacket.
Since joining Foresight in 2014, Ginsberg has served on the general management teams of “The Band’s Visit,” “The Prom,” “Moulin Rouge!” and “Boop! The Musical.” Prior to joining the firm, Ginsberg was on the creative side of the industry, having worked on the directing teams of “Looped,” “High” and “Lysistrata Jones.” Beyond Foresight, Ginsberg has served as a co-producer on revivals of “Parade” and “The Wiz.”
Ross’ general management credits with Foresight include “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Water for Elephants,” “New York, New York,” POTUS,” “American Utopia” and “The Band’s Visit.” Prior to joining Foresight in 2015, Ross served as a booking agent at Off-Broadway Booking and the director of Off-Broadway attractions at AWA Partners.
“We are incredibly grateful to be stepping into this new role,” Ginsberg and Ross said. “This company has been our professional home for years, and we’ve learned so much from the colleagues and mentors who’ve helped shape our path. We are excited to carry that legacy forward.”
Williams, whose career as a Broadway general manager and executive producer spans over four decades, has been with Foresight since its former incarnation as Alan Wasser and Associates. Williams’ Broadway résumé ranges from the original Broadway productions of “Les Misérables,” “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Miss Saigon” to the recent “Purlie Victorious” and “Maybe Happy Ending.”
“We have worked for and, for the past 13 years, alongside our mentor and friend Allan Williams for most of our careers,” Lustbader and Shacker noted in a joint statement. “We couldn’t be more pleased to continue our collaboration with him in this capacity, providing exemplary service for our clients and mentorship for our staff.”
“I have had an extraordinary 38 years with the company and couldn’t be more grateful for the experience,” said Williams. “I look forward to collaborating in my new capacity, supporting a team I believe in so deeply.”
In addition to its leadership team, Foresight’s personnel includes director of operations Lane Marsh, associate director of operations Steve Greer, general managers Andrew Joy and Alex Wolfe, associate general managers Cathy Kwon and Devon Miller, general management associate Laura Kay, assistant general managers Jose Rodriguez Marmol and Nia Arrington-Seward, director of investment relations Amanda Harper, investor relations associates Xiaohua He-Cohen and Sam Levine, office manager and head of Foresight events Jennifer O’Connor, associate office manager Ed Maar, management assistant and Foresight events associate Ashley Kristeen Vega, management assistant Zarifa Adiba and receptionist William Harris.
Founded in 1981 as Alan Wasser and Associates by the late Alan Wasser, the firm evolved into Foresight Theatrical in 2012.
