Synopsis: Growing up in a rough urban neighborhood, African-American teenager Jeffrey and his Asian neighbor J.C. help each other cling to hope of a better life and also serve as a lifeline to Joey, a boy who faces abuse grinding poverty at his home. Together, the three youths keep one another focused on a brighter future amid the violence and temptations of the streets.
